No, we do not ship to any other country than USA.

What forms of payment do we accept?

We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover as well as PayPal payments.

What is the payment process?

The name of the parent company for www.sweetpoland.com is Polish Bookstore and Publishing Co., Inc. and it will appear on your bank statement. When you place your order you give us an authorization to charge your card and the funds are put on hold. We usually charge you at the time of shipping when we know the exact weight of your products. The final charge could be slightly higher or lower than in original order (around 10% either way) and is in accordance with the actual weight of the products shipped.

Why my final invoice usually differs from the original order?

We can provide only estimated weight of the kielbasa and cold cuts. The final weight of individual pieces usually slightly varies. Your final cost could be lower or higher.

When do we ship?

Our shipping days for highly perishable items (cold cuts, breads, pierogi) are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If you choose UPS Ground Service and your transit time is 4 Business Days (e. g.  MS, NM, AZ etc.) the only possible day of the week for shipping is Monday. For 3 Business Days (e. g. FL, LA, WI, KS etc.) we can ship only on Mondays and Tuesdays. For 1 or 2 Business Days (NC, SC, VA, WV, IL etc.) we may ship on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  We do not ship perishable food products over the weekend (they would stay in UPS warehouse for additional 2 days) to shorten time in transit and preserve freshness. If you order food products that are not highly perishable (sweets, mushrooms, jars etc.) your order could be shipped by UPS Ground Service to any state within continental US - though during Summer months we still recommend purchasing insulated box for chocolates to prevent melting. We ship all in stock items within 1-3 business days. Most packages are delivered within 1-7 days from the date of order. We ship mostly by UPS, though sometimes we use USPS Priority Service. Please make sure that someone is present at the time when the package arrives and refrigerate or freeze perishable products upon arrival. We highly recommend using business & commercial addresses where there is always somebody to receive your package. You will receive your UPS tracking number by e-mail from UPS.

What is acceptable transit time?

Cold months: October - May

If your order contains highly perishable items and the transit time while using UPS Ground Service is longer than 4 business days we will not ship your products and cancel your order. You will be able to re-order with UPS 3rd Day Shipping option. The states that we cannot ship to by UPS Ground are in the West: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah. In some other western states (California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada) delivery time from our location in New York City varies from 3 to 5 days.

Hot weather months: May – September

During those months we ship packages containing highly perishable products only when the transit time is 3 days or less. For the states where UPS Ground Service takes 4 Business days or more UPS 3rd Day option (or faster) has to be selected.

What is approximate transit time to particular states?

1 BUSINESS day - CT, NJ, DE, MD, DC, RI, MA, part of NY and PA

2 BUSINESS days - KY, TN, NC, SC, VA, WV, GA, IL, IN, OH, MI, VT, NH, ME, part of NY and PA

3 BUSINESS days - FL, LA, AL, AR, KS, MN, WI, NE, OK, MO, part of CO, TX, IA

4 BUSINESS days - NM, ND, SD, MS, part of CO, TX, CA, NV, AZ

5 BUSINESS days (actually 7 days in transit) - Western states - w cannot ship perishable items by UPS Ground, you need to choose expedited service: UPS 3rd Day or less.

How do I find my tracking number?

Your tracking number will be sent via e-mail from UPS on the evening of shipping date. If you do not see it and have already received an e-mail from us confirming shipment please check your SPAM folder.

Do I need to register?

You may place your order as a guest. However if you are registered when you order next time the process will be much faster. You will also have the access to your previous orders.

When and why do I need to purchase a cooler?

If you purchase highly perishable products  (meats, pierogi, cheese, bread  etc.) it is necessary to purchase a cooler, special insulated box containing ice gels which will keep the contents cool for up to 4 days. If you order exclusively less perishable products (sweets, kashas, jars, dry soups) we may use regular carton for shipping. The large coolers cost $8.99 and we purchase them directly from manufacturer and sell it at our cost (the prices in other online stores are twice or 3 times as high). Both coolers and ice gels are re-usable.

Why do we apply minimum price to your orders?

The time and labor involved in processing the order and preparing a package are significant so for us it doesn’t make economic sense to accept very small orders. The same applies to the customer – you pay almost the same shipping price for the order worth $20.00 as well as one worth $100.00. It is simply much cost effective to purchase more products while ordering and store them, refrigerate or freeze for the future use.

Do we accept phone orders?

Generally we do not. It takes too much time and leads to address mistakes due to bad connections which creates problems with proper delivery. Sometimes we make exceptions when the customers do not have an access to the internet. However we are not able to do that during peak seasons around Holidays. We are always happy to answer any order related questions.

Do we accept returns?

NO RETURNS accepted because of perishable character of our products.
